Overview

Our client is a key player in the renewable energy sector, focused on developing and operating large-scale projects. This role exists to support the implementation and administration of human capital strategies directly on project sites and operational plants. The Human Capital Site Coordinator will be integral to managing talent acquisition and employee/industrial relations, ensuring full compliance with South African labour law and fostering a productive on-site work environment.

 

 What You’ll Do

  • Manage end-to-end recruitment processes, including job postings, screening, interviewing, and the onboarding of new site-based employees.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for on-site employee and industrial relations, facilitating dispute resolution, disciplinary hearings, and grievance management.
  • Coordinate the full employee lifecycle, including probation and performance appraisal processes, ensuring timely completion of evaluations.
  • Ensure all on-site human capital practices are compliant with the BCEA, LRA, and Employment Equity Act.
  • Maintain accurate and confidential employee records and documentation, particularly for all employee relations cases.
  • Report on key HC metrics to support decision-making and continuous improvement in site operations.
  • Conduct exit interviews with site employees and analyse feedback to identify trends and areas for improvement.
  • Liaise with site-based stakeholders, including hiring managers and external parties, to ensure smooth and effective HC processes.

 

What We’re Looking For

  • A Diploma or Bachelor's Degree in Human Resources, Industrial Psychology, or a related field.
  • A minimum of 2 years of experience in a dedicated HR support or coordination role.
  • Demonstrable experience in employee relations and industrial relations (ER/IR) is essential.
  • Proficiency in using HRIS platforms (such as SAGE or BambooHR) and MS Excel.
  • A strong, practical understanding of South African labour laws, including the BCEA, LRA, and EEA.
  • Experience working on-site in a project-based environment would be advantageous.
