  • Establish and maintain a robust internal control framework to ensure compliance with internal policies and external regulations.
  • Coordinate the annual internal control self-assessment exercise at the country level and follow up on action plans.
  • Develop, update, and implement risk management policies, procedures, and mitigation strategies.
  • Maintain a comprehensive risk register, identifying and analysing financial, operational, strategic, and compliance risks.
  • Drive the optimisation of financial processes to ensure workflows are efficient, well-documented, and compliant.
  • Report directly to the Country CFO and the regional Internal Control Officer, and interface with group audit teams and various corporate functions.

What We’re Looking For

  • Master's degree in finance, business, engineering, or a related field.
  • 8-10+ years of experience in finance operations, internal controls, and process optimisation.
  • Proven leadership experience, with the ability to manage cross-functional teams.
  • Experience within a large, complex multinational organisation.
  • A solid understanding of the energy sector.
  • Strong knowledge of risk management principles and internal control frameworks.
  • Technical expertise with financial systems.

What We Offer

  • A full-time position based in Johannesburg, South Africa.
  • Flexibility for travel throughout South Africa.

  • Exposure to a dynamic environment within a leading global energy group.
