Overview
A globally active Independent Power Producer with operations across South Africa and the broader EMEA region is looking to appoint a senior HR Manager to lead Talent Management and Organisational Development. This is a critical role supporting over 400 employees nationally, with a focus on building strong leadership pipelines, enabling growth across all levels, and embedding a high-performance culture.
What You’ll Do
- Design and implement integrated frameworks for talent management, succession planning, and performance development.
- Coordinate the People Position Review (PPR), including talent identification, calibration, and follow-up actions.
- Facilitate career development journeys and internal mobility, including coaching and mentoring programs.
- Oversee psychometric and competency assessments through external providers and ensure quality and compliance.
- Lead organisational development initiatives that align with evolving business and structural needs.
- Govern job design processes and ensure operational alignment.
- Manage the national learning and development strategy, budget, and coaching requirements.
- Drive employee engagement, wellness, and inclusion programs across the South African platform.
- Provide guidance, leadership, and support to the broader HR team on strategic people matters.
What We’re Looking For
- Degree in Human Resource Management or Industrial Psychology.
- 10+ years of HR experience, including 3+ years in a senior or management role.
- Strong expertise in talent management, succession planning, coaching, and career path design.
- Comfortable coaching senior leaders and supporting individuals across all levels of the organisation.
- Able to oversee and facilitate psychometric and competency-based assessments (no registration required).
- Demonstrated ability to take initiative, lead change, and work independently within a complex environment.
- Diplomatic, mature, and solutions-driven—able to navigate sensitive issues and resolve conflict with professionalism.
- Strategic thinker with strong stakeholder engagement, facilitation, and communication skills.
- Fluent in English with excellent verbal and written communication.
- Willingness to travel within South Africa as needed.
