Overview

Our client is a growing Independent Power Producer based in Cape Town. This is a permanent full time office role. This role is integral to driving inclusive, strategic, and high-volume hiring efforts across technical, operational, and corporate teams within the renewable energy and infrastructure space. Working closely with hiring managers and people teams, the Talent Partner leads end-to-end recruitment delivery, workforce planning input, and compliance tracking aligned with transformation and EE goals. The position also plays a vital role in building internal capability, employer branding, and ensuring a values-aligned candidate experience.

 

What You’ll Do

  • Lead full-cycle recruitment across all teams, from requisition to onboarding.
  • Develop and implement proactive sourcing strategies using LinkedIn, ATS, networks, job boards, and direct outreach.
  • Support hiring managers with workforce planning, benchmarking, interview preparation, and market insights.
  • Maintain and update job descriptions and recruitment trackers, ensuring alignment with business needs.
  • Coordinate panel interviews and selection processes, particularly for technical and site-based roles.
  • Liaise with external recruitment agencies, manage supplier agreements, and oversee role allocation.
  • Track EE metrics, POPIA compliance, and recruitment KPIs for reporting and committee presentations.
  • Administer recruitment-related invoices and contracts using internal financial systems.
  • Collaborate with Marketing and Communications to enhance employer brand and candidate engagement.
  • Attend job fairs and industry events to build talent pipelines and future-fit pools.
  • Support onboarding handovers and documentation processes in collaboration with HR and hiring teams.
  • Mentor junior team members and contribute to broader people initiatives including talent mapping.

 

What We’re Looking For

  • National Diploma or Bachelor’s Degree in HR, Industrial Psychology, Business Admin, or related.
  • Minimum 4 years’ experience in full-cycle recruitment, including high-volume hiring.
  • Strong knowledge of South African labour law, EE, BBBEE, and recruitment compliance.
  • Proficiency with ATS and HRIS systems (e.g., BambooHR, Sage 300, etc.) and Microsoft 365.
  • Demonstrated success managing multiple stakeholders and diverse roles simultaneously.
  • Experience recruiting for technical, corporate, and site-based positions.
  • Previous exposure to renewable energy or infrastructure sectors is advantageous.
  • Familiarity with D&I-focused hiring and talent acquisition best practices.
