Overview
This full-time role is based at the Cruise Terminal in Cape Town and falls within the Operations and Maintenance team. The Asset Compliance & Operations Coordinator plays a critical role in coordinating all contractual, compliance, and administrative functions across a portfolio of renewable energy assets. The purpose of this role is to ensure project document compliance, effective facility management, and smooth integration with internal teams to optimise asset performance and meet contractual obligations.
What You’ll Do
- Coordinate the implementation of facility management strategies across multiple assets.
- Monitor compliance with all contractual obligations and project documentation throughout the project lifecycle.
- Maintain trackers and systems to demonstrate managed obligations, including correspondence registers and contractual records.
- Support and monitor all aspects of operations and maintenance, ensuring activities align with legal, contractual, health, safety, environmental, and social requirements.
- Coordinate with O&M Contractors to verify performance guarantees, such as availability metrics.
- Draft, review, and coordinate clear communications and correspondence in line with project documents.
- Assist in identifying defects, deviations, or non-compliances and support corrective actions with EPC and O&M Contractors.
- Report on warranty and insurance matters, manage related claims, and track associated documentation.
- Review contractor reports, scopes of work, and method statements, ensuring alignment with contractual expectations.
- Support board and EXCO meeting preparation with compliance-related inputs and documentation.
- Ensure alignment with internal policies, procedures, ESMS standards, IFC requirements, and Equator Principles.
- Leverage digital systems (e.g., SCADA, mobile apps) for effective coordination and operational visibility.
- Participate in commissioning and project handover phases, ensuring tests and standards are met.
- Provide facility management input during bid, transaction, construction, and operational phases of projects.
- Share knowledge, contribute to internal process development, and team growth.
What We’re Looking For
- Degree or Diploma in a relevant field.
- 2+ years of experience in the renewable energy sector.
- 2+ years of project management experience.
- Strong understanding of Wind and Solar technologies.
- Familiarity with commissioning processes and O&M best practices.
- Working knowledge of Power Purchase Agreements, EPC, and O&M contracts.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.
- Solid understanding of health, safety, and environmental legislation.
- Willingness to travel across project sites.
