Overview
This role is accountable for managing the full asset lifecycle of renewable energy projects from financial close to end of operational life. The scope spans both construction and operational phases across public and private sector projects. The Asset Management Director leads a cross-functional team, ensuring quality, efficiency, compliance, and profitability in line with Management Service Agreements signed with the various SPVs. The role also oversees Asset Management business unit strategy, ISO certification compliance, and commercial performance.
What You’ll Do
- Oversee the management of all projects from financial close through operations, ensuring compliance with MSAs and alignment with company goals.
- Structure, lead, and coordinate the Asset Management team and define project-specific organograms in alignment with HR.
- Establish, maintain, and update the Strategic Asset Management Plan (SAMP) and ensure systems support its delivery.
- Ensure full compliance with the Red Rocket Integrated Management System (IMS), including ISO 9001, 14001, 45001, and 55001 standards.
- Manage performance, efficiency, and reporting across the portfolio, including EPC, O&M, and other key contracts.
- Coordinate SPV shareholder reporting and committee involvement (AGMs, Board, Finance & Risk, etc.).
- Oversee project refinancing, financial modelling updates, forecasts, and financial statement reporting.
- Maintain and evolve document management systems and asset management reporting processes.
- Manage stakeholder interfaces including clients, landowners, brokers, and third parties where applicable.
- Define and maintain strong coordination between asset management and other departments (e.g. O&M, Legal, PPCM, SI).
- Drive a high-performance, compliant culture that supports ethical conduct, innovation, and operational excellence.
What We’re Looking For
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Engineering, Accounting, Economics, Business Administration, or related field.
- Financial Modelling certification preferred.
- Minimum 8–10 years’ experience in asset management or a related role within the energy/infrastructure sector.
- Strong track record managing SPVs and project companies through construction and operation phases.
- Proven experience with project refinancing, contract oversight, and financial performance tracking.
- Deep understanding of ISO standards and Integrated Management Systems within an infrastructure environment.
- Strong negotiation, project management, analytical, and stakeholder communication skills.
- Working knowledge of data and business intelligence tools.
