As the Contracts Manager, you will be based in Johannesburg , overseeing contractual aspects across these locations.

What You'll Do

As the Contracts Manager, your responsibilities will include:

  • Contract Drafting and Editing: Develop, review, and revise contracts to ensure clarity, compliance, and alignment with project objectives.
  • Negotiation: Engage with subcontractors and clients to negotiate contract terms, ensuring favorable outcomes and maintaining strong professional relationships.
  • Project Oversight: Monitor project execution to ensure adherence to contractual obligations, timelines, and budgets.
  • Claims Management: Prepare and manage claim proposals, including documentation and negotiation, to address any deviations or disputes.
  • Risk Assessment: Identify potential contractual risks and implement mitigation strategies to protect project interests.
  • Stakeholder Coordination: Collaborate with legal, financial, and project management teams to ensure cohesive contract administration.
  • Compliance Monitoring: Ensure all contractual activities comply with local regulations, industry standards, and company policies.
  • Reporting: Maintain accurate records and provide regular reports on contract status, negotiations, and claims to senior management.

What We're Looking For

Qualifications:

  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Law, Business Administration, Engineering, or a related field.
  • Experience: Minimum of 5 years in contract management within large-scale infrastructure or energy projects, preferably in the renewable energy sector.
  • Skills:
    • Contractual Expertise: Strong understanding of contract law and experience with EPC contracts.
    • Negotiation Skills: Proven ability to negotiate effectively with clients and subcontractors.
    • Analytical Abilities: Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
    • Communication: Superior written and verbal communication skills.
    • Attention to Detail: High level of accuracy in reviewing and drafting contracts.
    • Project Management: Ability to oversee project execution and manage multiple priorities.
    • Technical Proficiency: Proficiency in contract management software and Microsoft Office Suite.
