Overview

 

Our client is a leading IPP in South Africa’s renewable energy landscape, based in Cape Town. This role is based full time in the office. Our client has an enviable culture and pro-employee environment.

What you’ll do

  • Manage interim and final B-BBEE scorecards accurately and timeously across multiple project companies.
  • Conduct monthly internal verification of supporting documentation across all B-BBEE elements.
  • Identify gaps, risks, and exposures on scorecards and assess their impact on B-BBEE levels.
  • Recommend and track practical strategies to improve B-BBEE performance and points optimisation.
  • Coordinate annual B-BBEE verification processes, working closely with verification agencies and internal teams.
  • Prepare and manage verification files, evidence packs, and audit documentation.
  • Provide on-site and post-verification support during audits.
  • Monitor progress against approved B-BBEE strategies and targets.
  • Prepare clear monthly and quarterly B-BBEE compliance reports.
  • Analyse financial, employment, and operational data relevant to B-BBEE elements.
  • Maintain accurate systems, records, and compliance documentation.
  • Liaise with internal stakeholders and external service providers.

 

What we're looking for

  • Relevant post-school qualification (NQF Level 5 or 6).
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Law, Human Resources, or related field.
  • Minimum 2 years’ experience in B-BBEE verification or compliance.
  • Strong working knowledge of:
    • B-BBEE Act and Amended Codes of Good Practice
    • Employment Equity Act
    • Skills Development Act and SETA frameworks
    • B-BBEE verification methodologies and audit preparation (R47)
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills (data analysis, pivot tables, formulas).
  • Strong document management and administration capability.
  • High attention to detail with strong analytical ability.
  • Clear written and verbal communication skills.
  • Self-driven, organised, and comfortable working independently and within a team.
  • Genuine interest in B-BBEE, transformation, and compliance.
