Overview
Join a leading renewable energy IPP involved in bringing large-scale energy projects to financial close. This role sits within the Transactions Team and plays a key role in managing legal, financial, and commercial workstreams to move projects from Preferred Bidder stage through to Financial Close.
What You’ll Do
- Support the Transactions Manager and Head of Transactions on all aspects of deal execution.
- Lead the appointment of advisors and coordination of due diligence processes.
- Assist in the structuring of transactions and acquisition of secondary market opportunities.
- Manage the Conditions Precedent (CP) Checklist and ensure timely delivery of all CP obligations.
- Coordinate inputs from cross-functional internal teams to meet project timelines.
- Oversee the negotiation and review of legal agreements in collaboration with the Legal Affairs team.
- Support financial model reviews and credit approval processes in conjunction with the CIF department.
- Engage with lenders on deal terms and coordinate inputs from their legal, technical, and insurance advisors.
- Prepare and manage transaction-related documentation from review to implementation.
- Support tender submissions and documentation for development-stage projects.
What We’re Looking For
- Minimum 5 years’ experience in project finance, banking & finance, or infrastructure teams.
- Direct experience in renewable energy projects and financial close processes.
- Proven exposure to legal negotiation and financial model reviews.
- Bachelor’s degree in law, Finance, or Commerce.
- Strong understanding of transaction structuring and CP management.
- Experience working with lenders and legal/technical advisors.
- Fluent in English (read, write, and speak).
