Overview
Join the Oasis Project, a large-scale Battery Energy Storage System (BESS) initiative comprising three sites in South Africa:

• Oasis Mookodi: 77 MW capacity with 308 MWh storage.
• Oasis Aggeneis: 77 MW capacity with 308 MWh storage.
• Oasis Nieuwehoop: 103 MW capacity with 412 MWh storage.

This role is based in either the Northern Cape or the North West Province, requiring on-site management and occasional travel between project locations.

This is a unique opportunity to join an international EPC, gain hands-on experience in renewable energy, specifically within the rapidly growing BESS sector, and contribute to a groundbreaking infrastructure project.

What You'll Do

As a Construction Manager, you will:

• Lead the construction planning and execution of the BESS project, ensuring alignment with project schedules, budgets, and quality standards.
• Coordinate with engineering teams, subcontractors, suppliers, and stakeholders to manage and optimize construction activities.
• Oversee health, safety, and environmental (HSE) compliance on-site, ensuring adherence to all local and regulatory standards.
• Manage project documentation, including construction progress reports, risk assessments, and quality control records.
• Implement project controls and construction best practices to ensure efficient resource use and adherence to contractual requirements.
• Provide leadership and guidance to on-site teams, including site supervisors, engineers, and contractors.
• Conduct regular site inspections and audits to ensure high-quality work and compliance with design specifications.
• Facilitate clear communication among project stakeholders, including project management teams, external consultants, and community stakeholders.

What We're Looking For

Qualifications and Experience:

• Professional Certification: Registered Professional Construction Manager (PrCM), Project Management Professional (PMP), or equivalent.
• Experience: 8–10 years in construction management, preferably in large-scale infrastructure or energy projects. Experience with battery energy storage systems (BESS) and renewable energy projects is highly advantageous.
• Technical Knowledge: Familiarity with battery storage systems, electrical systems, grid connections, and construction best practices.

Skills:

• Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills, with an ability to manage complex project logistics and large, multi-disciplinary teams.
• Proficiency in construction management software, such as Primavera P6, MS Project, or equivalent tools.
• Sound knowledge of HSE best practices and a commitment to enforcing safety and environmental compliance on-site.
