Overview
An established renewable energy developer is seeking a commercially astute Senior Transactor to take projects from preferred bidder stage through to financial close. This role sits within the Transactions team and plays a pivotal part in structuring, negotiating, and closing complex renewable energy deals in collaboration with internal and external stakeholders. The position demands strong financial modelling oversight, negotiation experience with lenders and off-takers, and the ability to manage multiple financial close workstreams simultaneously.
What You’ll Do
- Lead and coordinate all commercial, legal, and financial activities required to take renewable projects to financial close.
- Manage negotiations on deal terms with lenders, equity shareholders, and off-takers.
- Oversee project financial models from bid stage to financial close, ensuring accuracy and alignment with investment objectives.
- Develop and execute financial close strategies in conjunction with the Transactions Manager and Investment Director.
- Drive the due diligence process and manage related workflows across multi-disciplinary teams.
- Support internal credit approval processes, from early-stage review through to sign-off.
- Collaborate with legal, finance, and technical departments to ensure alignment of project deliverables and timelines.
- Provide input into project structuring and commercial strategies to optimise bankability.
- Support acquisition and divestment opportunities as directed by the Investment Director.
- Assist in the negotiation of PPAs and related project agreements during bid evaluation stages.
What We’re Looking For
- Bachelor’s degree in Law, Finance, or Business (MBA advantageous).
- Minimum of 6 years’ experience in renewable project finance, banking, or related infrastructure transaction environments.
- Proven track record leading project financial close processes within large-scale renewable or infrastructure projects.
- Strong understanding of project finance modelling, legal frameworks, and commercial deal structuring.
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple workstreams and engage confidently with lenders, advisors, and project stakeholders.
- Excellent command of English, both written and verbal.
